Playing StepMania (DDR) with Kinect

MMaximus has uploaded a video of himself playing Stepmania with Kinect.

This is how he describes his hack

“Actually, I love PIU and I decided to play it with Kinect. Since I saw Keyboard Anywhere hack, I knew it was possible. But I have no idea how to make it. What I’d like to do is place the buttons on the ground and just step on them. I know it’s possible.

So I thought “DDR is easier to make, let’s try” and the result you watch now. ”

    lol, I did this a month ago but I thought it wasn’t good enough for a video what he doesn’t tell you is you have to bring your foot back every time so a fast song is impossible as you need to returrn your foot to in between every step which makes it not worth playing…… Anyway cool hope you get some views ;) but i did first haha ;p * Step Mania rules

      Haha, I know that. Well, I decided to upload it because I didn’t find any video doing the same thing ;P I know it’s not big deal, hehe. About returning your foot, if you tweak it right, you can just lift your foot and then step again ;) It works. Not THAT reliable, but it works. And sidesteps for some reason are less reliable when doing that. Anyways. Thanks.
