Shinyless has created a Kinect midi controller hack. He says he is beginning to write an advended MIDI controller system with Kinect that can output any MIDI messages with multi-user hand control, using the OpenNI library.
In this video he has used FL Studio to receive MIDI data, but it works with any midi compliant software/hardware This demo is a little proof of conecpt (0.3 alpha test), but he says that he is planning to write a complete GUI to setup the midi parameters, handle acceleration, and much more in a near future..
