Hand Motion Capture
Franck Hernoux story:
My name is Franck Hernoux and I’m a french phD student. I’m working on the “hand motion capture” subject.
I’m currently developping a markerless hand motion capture system with a kinect to do real time interactions in virtual environment. My system can recognize whether the hands of the user are opened or closed and can do interaction in function of the results. The user can then navigate and interact with the virtual environment. By holding the hand still during 3 seconds, a menu appears and the user can chose if he wants to rotate an object, rescale it or move it. The user can also navigate in the virtual world only with his hands.
